My name is Andrea Porter and I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Developmental and Clinical Psychology from Hollins University. I have a Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling, with a focus on children and families, from Nova Southeastern University.
I have been a Hendricks Day School parent for the past 5 years. My husband, Jason, is an attorney and has his own law practice on Hendricks Avenue. We have four children. They will be in the 2nd, 4th, and 6th grade this coming school year. My oldest child will be attending The Bolles School for 9th grade in the Fall.
I have a great love of reading. I am currently reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Children by Sean Covey. I had the opportunity to shadow Mrs. Erickson during the last trimester of school to learn every facet of the library. I want to spread the pleasure of reading to the students. I am very excited to be part of the faculty and staff this coming school year!
